Colourless, Odourless liquid, Slightly Salty taste, sometimes comes as tablets and sold in small bottles.

Routes of Use

Tablets are taken orally and liquid is drunk

History

Recently been used in drug assisted rapes and sexual assaults. Appeared 1994 on the club scene as a liquid ecstasy but no way related.

Effects people seek

Small Doses feels like alcohol, inhibitions lowered and libido increased.

Other Effects

Higher doses – Sleepy, Nausea, vomiting, muscle stiffness, confusion, Very high doses give convulsions, coma, respiratory collapse.

Dependence & Tolerance

Not much is known about long term use of GHB, possibly physical and psychological dependence.

Law

Class C; Misuse of Drugs Act maximum penalty possession two (2) years, supplying is fourteen (14) years.
